(1) SOLAR PANELS: Sunlight hits your unobstructed solar panels. Photons from the sun are converted to DC electricity by the 'photovoltaic effect'
(2) INVERTER: The inverter converts DC to AC electricity for your household appliances.
(3) MAIN DISTRIBUTION PANEL: AC electricity is sent to your electrical panel (breaker box).
(4) APPLIANCES: Your home first uses electricity from your solar PV system, if not enough, draws more from the grid.
(5) UTILITY METER: Your utility meter measures your electricity production and consumption.
(6) GRID: Any excess production in the daytime is automatically exported back to the grid. Ask us about net-metering.
At night, your home automatically goes back to the grid for power.
